Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is an objective measure of stress and recovery.
HRV is the time between each heartbeat. HRV goes down during challenging situations. It goes up during times of relaxation and recovery.
Tracking HRV helps us understand Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) activity. The ANS controls unconscious bodily functions, such as breathing, heart rate and digestion.
The ANS includes two branches; i) sympathetic (“fight or flight”) and ii) parasympathetic (“rest and digest”). Interpreting which is the dominant system at any one time, by tracking HRV, shows the levels of stress and recovery reactions in the body. By tracking HRV, we can measure your response to stress as well as your recovery from it.
How we measure your HRV
Using wearable technology, we measure a real-life 72-hour period. We track your stress, recovery, sleep quality and energy expenditure. The HRV data gathered is then compiled into a lifestyle assessment report.

Follow up on your personalised plan
Following execution of your personalised plan, your HRV is measured again for a 72-hour period. This will track the progress made from your initial assessment.
